Antique handmade Qum rug with two intact kilim ends. Naturally dyed wool on a cotton foundation. circa 1930. It has a rare ivory background and the field designs are associated in particular with 19th century Bidjar. It has the same 'flower and split palmette' field design as on the famous Mcmullan carpet in the Metropolitan Museum.
